As part of my role at GSK, I managed all 3D design toothbrush development across the Oral health category Sensodyne, Pronamel, Aquafresh and Paradontax projects.
Introducing sustainable material strategies, plastic free packaging and reducing 1000s of tonnes of plastic going to landfill.

My role was to transform the brand language we had in 2D graphic and digital design and develop this into 3D product principles for each of the oral health category brands.

I worked hand in hand with DCA across a number of toothbrush projects, with Sensodyne Nourish being recognised for numerous design awards. (Red dot, Good design, iF design)

Design Strategy
Sensodyne 3D VBL
We transformed our static VBL through into physical products, taking inspiration from numerous sources. I worked closely with design agency DCA to deliver multiple new designs and products, that encapsulated the new brand identity.
Ideate, Design, Test, Develop
Design for Users
Designing for use and purpose is at the centre of all toothbrush projects we delivered.
We ran co-creation workshops with users, trialing efficacy, daily use and comfort, as well aesthetic appeal from initial idea phases, through to physical prototypes.
Manufacture Ready Design
Design for Manufacture
I worked with manufacturing partners, as well as our in house technical engineering team to ensure the designs that were envisioned were products that worked (whilst improving on COGs and sustainability).
Sustainable Packaging
Plastic Free Packaging
Working to remove unnecassary plastic in our products was a personal mission when working within this category. I was proud to deliver the first plastic free packaging outcomes for the company, and lead the sustainable agenda within the business.
